Conditioner Bars

Each creamy, plastic free solid conditioner bar is UK made and full of Coconut Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter and concentrated conditioning ingredients; making it easy for you to switch from liquid conditioner. With no silicones to weigh your hair down, they leave hair feeling light, smooth and soft, and save 2 (250ml) plastic bottles as they are totally plastic free!

Our conditioner bars are available for all hair types, for fine and flat hair, coloured and highlighted hair, normal to dry hair, and for grey hair. We have a Fragrance Free solid conditioner bar for sensitive skin and hair, and the UK's first Anti-Dandruff conditioner bar with a clinically tested, plant-based, anti-dandruff active. They pair perfectly with our shampoo bars for the ultimate sustainable haircare routine. 

Each KinKind solid conditioner bar is delivered direct to you through the letterbox. Unlike traditional conditioners, we are not transporting 80% water in bottles on long truck journeys across the world. Conditioner bars, sometimes known as conditioning bars are solid, concentrated forms of hair conditioner without the liquid content in your usual bottled conditioner.  Packed with concentrated conditioning ingredients & completely plastic-free. They are easy to apply, and fast to work on your hair, the concentrated conditioning ingredients give your hair that instant detangled, smooth feeling, just like a bottled conditioner.

You stroke the solid super concentrated conditioner bars down your hair between your palms from root to tip, and feel your hair relax as the gorgeous ingredients of Cocoa Butter and Cetyl Alcohol soak get to work. If you have short hair just stroke the conditioner bar directly over your head. Then, rinse your hair with warm water as normal. See the video below on how to use a solid conditioner bar.

Usage tips

Leave-in Conditioner: Any KinKind Conditioner bars can be used as a leave in conditioner for your hair. Depending on your needs, simply don't rinse out the conditioner, or you can rinse with warm water and then re-apply a little conditioner where you need it most using your hands to work it through your hair.

Greasy roots & Dry ends: If you are prone to greasy roots and dry ends, just use a KinKind solid conditioner bar where your hair needs it most. Our solid conditioner bars give you flexibility to use it only where you need it, and avoids wasting liquid conditioner at the roots. Simply stroke the solid conditioner on the ends of your dry hair, massage and then rinse as normal.

Curly hair: If you have curly hair, our recommendation is to stroke one of our conditioner bars down your hair to get full coverage and rinse if you wish, and then keep the conditioner bar in your hand as you scrunch those curls.

Conditioning Mask Treatment: You can leave our deep conditioner bars on your hair for up to 5 minutes as a conditioner mask treatment to give dry hair ultimate nourishment, before simply rinsing as usual.

In your bathroom if you have a ledge, for example a shower over bath, then a wooden rack works very well to store your conditioner bars. If you have a shower cubicle, then a metal rack that suctions to tiles works very well, positioned high up out of the flow of water. 

Each KinKind conditioner bar lasts up to 50 washes, depending on your hair length/thickness. Some people find it lasts even longer! 

Travelling with a KinKind conditioner bars is incredibly easy and takes up so little space. No more leaking conditioner bottles in suitcases or gym bags contributing to plastic waste, we recommend our KEEP me! aluminium travel tins that fit all KinKind bars.  A couple of tips are a) pop a piece of ribbon under the bar in the tin so you can lift it out easily, and b) open the tin when not travelling so the bar can air dry.

When your conditioner bar becomes thin through usage it will likely break into 2 or 3 pieces. Simply put those conditioner pieces on the top of a new conditioner bar when they are wet. You will find that the small pieces will gradually mould on with usage in the palm of your hand, and you will use up 100% of the conditioner bar. The solid conditioner simply disappears with usage, taking zero waste, plastic free haircare to a new level! Each totally plastic free conditioner bar lasts for up to 50 washes.
