How to store your shampoo bars?

When it comes to successfully switching from bottled shampoo and conditioners to bars, storage is key! So..here we show you all our top products and tips to getting the storage right when it comes to your plastic-free shampoo bars, conditioner bars and our range of body-care bars.

It's all about air drying...

The secret to a successful switch? Making sure your shampoo and conditioner bars can air dry in between uses. By keeping them away from the stream of water in the shower and using storage with some holes for drainage, your shampoo bar will dry out more effectively, last longer and won't go all soft and mushy.

Place them on your bath ledge, window sill or sink, away from the flow of water and then place your bars on top. With a bar it’s so easy to pick-up, use and put back – no more faffing around with bottles and lids! If you do have your own soap dish, it's best to use a dish with drainage holes as proper drainage will help the shampoo bar dry out more effectively.

Tracey's Coconut Shell Storage: One of the most unusual and natural storage solutions we've heard to date, the lovely Tracey sent us this amazing image of her DIY storage. Using pieces of coconut shell, she's sanded the rough husk off, drilled a few holes in them & has herself the perfect amount of drainage for our Shampoo & Conditioner bars to dry out between washes.

Lee's on-the-go hack: Warming a knife and halving their shampoo & conditioner bars, they've popped half of each in a tin and use one for their draw at work and one for their swimming bag...half the bars, half the tins!

DIY labels for travel: Feeling creative? All you need is a set of KEEP me! travel tins & some nail varnish colours and you can create these DIY labels so you don't get mixed up with your bars when travelling. Or, cut out the labels from the bar cartons and stick them on the tin so they are named.
