Deodorant FAQs

Here we answer KinKind Deodorant Frequently Asked Questions :

  • The slider on my Deodorant case is stiff. I can't move it up or down easily. This is due to change in temperature. It is not infact caused by the slider and button on the case, but is due to the refill becoming marginally mis-shapen. Our refills are made of natural oils and waxes and at a the height of summer in a hot location (possibly in the post van on the way to you), the refill has been very warm and has melted slightly. It has then cooled and stuck onto the case as it re-solidified. In the first instance, to solve this, please put your Deodorant case (with refill inside) lying down on its back on a warm radiator (or in a warm place) for an hour or so. Then, it if now moves, please move the slider up and push down with the lid a few times. If this works, you should be good to continue. If it doesn't work, please contact us on support@kinkind.co.uk

  • Do KinKind Refills fit into Fussy or Wild Refillable Deodorant Cases or Refills?
Our deodorant refills don’t fit into Wild or Fussy. Because our refills are ‘naked’ you would need an empty Wild/Fussy refill and then slot our naked refill into it. Because our case is 100% aluminium and was designed to fit through the letterbox, we were limited in the shaping of the design.
This said, our Forever case is very ergonomic and not oversized, so it is ideal as a Travel deodorant (for holidays, gym & pool) and far better than the paper tube Travel Deodorant versions from Wild and Fussy that disintegrate in the wash-bag and are difficult to push up. So perhaps there is a role for KinKind in your washbag and at home, so you don't need to buy separate deodorants.
  • Do KinKind Refills fit into Fussy or Wild Refillable Deodorant Cases or Refills. Having tried many different 'eco' deodorants before I've been disappointed that the effective ones leave an oily/greasy residue on clothes. Does this happen with KinKind? We have not been able to replicate this experience with our product over the last year of testing. That said, natural deodorants are packed full of oils and waxes. So, if they do transfer to clothing, to break these down in the wash you will need surfactants. Washing up liquid or liquid laundry detergent, or Vanish PowerGel pre-treater stain remove are all very high in surfactant, so you can pre-treat with a little bit and rub into residue, before washing as normal.
